About Us

🌿 About Momotus Coffee Company

At Momotus Coffee Company, we believe every cup of coffee tells a story — one of origin, craftsmanship, and connection.

Our journey began with more than just a passion for coffee — it began with heritage.

In the lush mountains of Armenia, Quindío, Colombia, my grandfather tended to coffee farms with care, pride, and tradition. That legacy stayed with our family and came to life in 2017 with the opening of Mocha Toto, a specialty coffee shop in our hometown. It was there — among the aromas of fresh brews, local beans, and community — that my love for specialty coffee truly took root.

In 2020, like many others, the pandemic changed everything. We were forced to close our beloved shop and return to the United States. But the dream never faded. Instead, it evolved.

Today, with Momotus Coffee Company, I’m proud to bring that dream back to life — grounded in our Colombian roots, inspired by the Momotus bird, and committed to sharing coffee that’s meaningful, ethical, and unforgettable.

📝 Founder’s Note

“Momotus Coffee Company is more than a business — it’s a continuation of my family’s legacy, a love letter to my homeland, and a tribute to the resilience that brought us back to the world of specialty coffee.
The Momotus bird — colorful, vibrant, and deeply rooted in nature — reflects our spirit. I hope you enjoy every sip of nature, heritage, and
heart in every cup.”
